Did you know that a Horde leveling guide is the one and only shortcut to the level cap? Well, it’s not actually a shortcut, but since it will provide you with the best leveling path for Horde, you will maintain a maximum XP rating from level 1 to 85. In fact, by following a Horde leveling guide I managed to reach level 85 in less than four days, without using any Heirlooms. The only XP bonus was the one provided by my guild perks.
I know that taking a Horde character to level 85 can be very frustrating and for someone that doesn’t use a Horde leveling guide, choosing the next zone can be quite problematic. That’s why in this post I’m going to present you with a general questing path from 30 to 40, in Kalimdor. So, here’s a short Horde leveling guide 30-40 for Kalimdor.
The WoW leveling guide I’ve been working with sends you to Stonetalon Mountains from 26 to 31, so after you finish with the 30-31 level in Stonetalon Mountains, the next stop is Desolace.
I never particularly liked this zone, I can’t say why, maybe because it was… desolated? Anyway, after Cataclysm was released, this zone turned green once more, being filled with life… and additional quest hubs. There’s a neutral quest hub at Ghost Walker Post, two other flight paths and NPCs with quests can be found in the North-West, near Furien’s Post. But the main Horde quest camp in Desolace still remains Shadowprey Village. Anyway, completing all the quests the Horde leveling guide sent me to do in this zone, has taken me to level 36.
After hitting level 36, the next zone in Kalimdor is Feralas. There have been many changes here, beginning with patch 4.0.1. Quest hubs were added and the level range of the zone was changed.
This zone has now loads of quests, but the accessibility is still not the greatest here. The main quest hubs for Horde are Camp Mojache, Stonemaul Hold, a camp with fatty-fat ogres, and Camp Ataya, in the North-West, close to the exit point into Desolace.
If you have skinning on your character, you should grind on the green whelps that can be found all around Dream Bough. Not only they are a good source of leather, you can get the Tiny Emerald Whelpling which can be sold for a lot of gold.
Anyway, once you finish with Feralas, you should be 40. So, here ends my short Horde leveling guide 30-40.
